About

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s.

“She’s hopelessly addicted to professional growth—a young professional with a burning passion for the communications and creative industries. From a young age, she has been captivated by the arts and is determined to create art in any way, shape, or form (even if her hands end up being super-glued at 2 a.m.). She firmly believes that art is the one language everyone speaks, and that storytelling is its most powerful medium, capable of bridging cultures, sparking empathy, and inspiring meaningful connections across all individuals”. My transition from high school to college and university wasn’t exactly smooth. I’ve always been drawn to the creative industries, but I let myself be swayed by others’ warnings that “you won’t find success through that degree.” After months of uncertainty, I took a leap of faith and found myself enrolled in the Diploma of Arts and Creative Industries. I did enjoy my course despite of the ups and downs, and despite the lingering fear of “not finding success”.

That diploma degree bridged me to my current course in Corporate Screen and Public Relations, and through all of these, I learnt film-making, photography (which sadly I’m not really good at), design platforms, the way the social media realm works, and writing stories both professionally or not. What surprised me most is how these fields intersect. For example, screen production class on film industries taught me to pitch ideas and realise them, while PR workshops transformed how I frame these ideas as a compelling story that resonates across diverse platforms. My study experiences, such as producing short films for local NGOs or managing social media for student-led PR collectives — showed me that “success” in the creative industries isn’t a myth. It’s a skill, honed by merging imagination with pragmatism.

To anyone doubting their path: ignore the noise. The creative world needs people who understand both the magic of imagination and the power of storytelling, as well as the mechanics of making it matter. I’m proof that you can thrive where passion and strategy collide.
